Chienyu Jade Yi - pastor

Pastor Jade was born in Taiwan to a Buddhist family and was baptized into the Christian faith at age 17. She and her husband, a pastor originally from Mexico, started a mission church in Mexico with one family in attendance and built it to 30 families within a year. Later she and her spouse moved to Chicago, where she attended the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, graduating in 2009. 

She was ordained and installed as Grace's pastor on July 18, 2010.

Steve Hanson - interim music director

Steve Hanson is a 1982 graduate of Roosevelt University's Chicago Musical College in Piano Performance. He was the Music Director of the DuPage Community Band at the College of DuPage from 1982 to1992. He has served as a church pianist at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva since 1988 and was their choir director from 1992 to 1996. He has been a pit orchestra conductor for several amateur theatre companies since 2004 and was the Music Director for the Kane Community Opera from 2007 to 2010. Although Steve has worked as a software developer since 1983, he regards community music-making as his calling and as a public good in every community.
