Michael Gagne - Music
Director
Michael
Gagne has lived in the Chicagoland area all of his life. He
is no stranger to Chi-town. He currently resides in
Deerfield, Illinois. Michael is an active concert organist
performing all over Illinois. Some notable churches that
Michael has performed at have been St. Luke's Episcopal
Church in Evanston, First Presbyterian Church in Arlington
Heights, North Park Covenant Church in Chicago, and Grace
United Methodist Church in Lake Bluff.
Michael
is currently a Junior at North Park University (Chicago)
where he is a BA in Music degree candidate. He is also
the accompanist to the North Park University Women's Chorale
and is on the Worship Team at North Park as well as
accompanying various student ensembles.
Some
of Michael's instructors have been Dr. Marilyn Kay Stulken
of Racine, Wisconsin; Dr. Marcia van Oyen, and Dr. David
Christiansen of Park Ridge. Currently, Michael is studying
the organ at North Park under the instruction of Mr.
Leon Nelson. At North Park, Michael is in demand as an
accompanist. In the Fall of 2009, Michael has taken up the
role as Interim University Choir accompanist, a role
that Michael is proud of.
Michael
has also participated in several Organ master classes with
each instructor giving strong positive feedback. Some
notable instructors in the Master classes were Dr. John
Weaver, J. Christopher Pardini (former organist of the
Crystal Cathedral); Ken Cowan, and Diane Bish.
While
not busy accompanying or playing the organ/piano, he is
school bus driver.
Michael is also a die-hard Cubs fan and also a Bears fan.
