| David says in Psalm 86:11
"Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your
truth."
The Education Committee is
responsible for the teaching ministry of Grace Lutheran
Church. Our aim is to give all members of Grace, regardless
of age, the opportunity to grow in their faith journey. The
following opportunities are available:
- Sunday School
Share God's Word by teaching our children.
Opportunities include serving as a Sunday School teacher
or assistant, a rotational leader, or helping with
music. Help with counting the offering and coordinating
stewardship efforts is also needed.
- Vacation Bible School
Provide a unique summer experience for both children
and adults. Opportunities include planning the emphasis
for the week; recruiting staff and students, teaching;
preparing snacks; coordinating crafts, games, or music;
or assisting for the week in any area.
- Christmas Program
Celebrate the joy of the Christmas season through
our children. You can direct the program; work on
costumes, props, or music; or be the technical director.
- Rally Day
Welcome our students back to Sunday School in
September. Opportunities include advertising;
encouraging all our youth, members and non-members of
Grace, to participate in Sunday School; coordinating our
Sunday School activities with other social events at
Grace; and registration.
- Confirmation
Guide our young people as they grow in faith to
affirm their baptism. You can coordinate the program
with Pastor; teach the Sunday program; and plan the
reception and gifts for confirmands.
- First Communion
Welcome our young children to the Lord's Table. You
can work on the program with Pastor; make banners; and
pray for the spiritual journey of our children.
- Adult Education
Continue the spiritual journey of our adults.
Opportunities include teaching Sunday mornings or other
Bible studies.
- Grace Night at
the Movies
Share Christian fellowship with a movie and
conversation. Help choose movies, supply refreshments,
offer technical support, and advertise the event.
